Extreme Heat Relief Locations

Transit and Public Facilities

Niagara Transit offers free rides to designated public facilities during official Environment Canada weather advisories, including both cold weather advisories and heat warnings. These facilities provide essential shelter and comfort during extreme weather conditions.

Extreme Heat Alerts

During extreme heat days when Environment Canada issues heat warnings, Niagara Transit offers free rides to designated cooling centres. These centres provide a safe and comfortable place to cool off and stay hydrated, including local community centres, libraries, and designated public spaces.
