Grape and Wine Grande Parade Detours

The Niagara Wine Festival's Grape and Wine Grand Parade takes place this Saturday, September 27. This creates significant changes to bus service in the downtown area.

Grape and Wine Grande Parade Detours

What You Need to Know

The downtown bus terminal on Carlisle Street closes from 7:45 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.

All bus operations will be relocated to the Meridian Centre during this time (from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.)

You can access the temporary terminal at Meridian Centre through the Rankin Bridge or Meridian Centre elevators.

Shuttle Service: Fairview Mall

Routes 409 and 412 get some extra help during the parade chaos. A dedicated shuttle bus swoops in to save the day for passengers in the Geneva Street and Catherine Street areas.

How the Shuttle Works: The shuttle picks up passengers from routes 409 and 412 at Fairview Mall and follows a specific path downtown. It travels Russell Avenue to Catherine Street, then Welland Avenue, Clark Street, Church Street, and finally Carlisle Street.

Going Downtown: Catch the shuttle at Fairview Mall if you're coming from the Catherine, Russell, or Geneva Street areas. It'll take you as far as Church & Clark Streets downtown.

Going to Fairview Mall: The shuttle runs the route in reverse - from Carlisle Street through Church, Clark, Welland, Catherine, Russell, Geneva, North Service Road, and YMCA Drive back to Fairview Mall.
